Johnny Madden is best known as the hypnotic and alluring front man of Glaswegian rock band Baby Strange. He is also a highly sought-after producer/songwriter and has become an established and iconic trailblazer within the Scottish music scene.
His band have gained praise from tastemakers far and wide, including Annie Mac, Huw Stevens, Zane Lowe and Steve Lamacq, as well as legendary DJ Nic Harcourt at KCSN in Los Angeles.
Johnny has co-produced and written with some of the most exciting new artists in Scotland. These include Gallus, Spyres, The Dunts, Declan Welsh & The Decadent West, Dead Pony, Pleasure Heads, Uninvited and Joshua Grant, many of whom have been championed by Jack Saunders as 'Next Wave' artists with promising futures. Johnny sits and on an impressive catalogue of songs and continues to write and produce for many UK and international artists such as: Callum Beattie (Universal) Robin Ashcroft (Modern Sky), Tagavaka (Anujadeep), Beranger (RCA/Sony Germany), Cameron Hayes, Jennifer Stewart, SHAY, Prentice Robertson (Vistas) Joshua Grant, Sophie Wood and BEX.
